When I first shot in large format portrait I inmidiatly fell in love with this XIX Century process.
It allows to keep the transparency as an Ambrotype, and it can be painted in the back to convert into a Tintye, each might have their differences and adventages but at the end it is the same process and same high quality details as the same time it is unique frame and unrepeatable.
